Togari Onsen is a village on the outskirts of Iiyama City in Nagano Prefecture, one of the heaviest snowfall areas in Japan, and possibly, the world! It is a small, peaceful place with close to nature, with hot springs, and many traditional temples and shrines. It is not as crowded as Hakuba or Nozawa Onsen, and more convenient than places like Madarao or Myoko, but within easy reach of all of those places, making it the perfect base for winter sports.
